Strength and Conditioning for Runners

We love running at LDJ Fitness, and over the years we’ve clocked up plenty of miles across all sorts of terrain.

But running alone only gets you so far. Without strength and conditioning, most runners eventually hit a plateau or pick up niggles and injuries that slow them down.

That’s why it underpins everything we do. We design our sessions to help you move better, stay injury-free, and run more consistently.

Part of a running group? Bring your mates, train together and split the cost, while still getting tailored coaching and individual attention.

Man vs Horse

Our run club trained together and took on the world-famous Man vs Horse race. A mixed-ability group raced against around 70 horses and riders over 22 miles of the mighty Brecon Beacons.

We laughed, we cried, and together we shared a truly unforgettable weekend.

Fell Running

Some snapshots from our Run Club fell runs. We use the hills between Buxton and Whaley Bridge to build strength, stamina, and prepare for our running events - these 12-mile sessions are challenges in themselves.

Man vs Mountain

Raising nearly £3,000 for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, we completed the gruelling Man vs Mountain Race.

The challenge covered 22 miles, starting at Caernarfon Castle, taking us to the foot of Snowdon, up to the summit, down the Llanberis Path, and finally up the slate mine opposite the finish.

A tough challenge - and a fantastic achievement.

Merry Christmas runs

Christmas Eve is the best day of the year and we've done a decade of Christmas Eve runs to make the day even better... followed by mince pies and a brew
