HYBRID PARTNER CHALLENGE
Tackle our Sweet 16 Hybrid Partner Challenge!
8 stations interspersed with 8 x 500m runs, making up 16 sections designed to test your cardio fitness and your physical and mental strength.
All proceeds from this challenge will go to PAPYRUS UK for the Prevention of Young Suicide.

THE CHALLENGE
Start with a 500m run, then take on each station with a 500m run in-between.
Each station can be split however the partnership wishes, with the exception of devil's press. All runs must be completed fully by both participants.
STATION 1:
2000 METRE ROW
Test your cardio fitness by completing a 2000m row as fast as you can
STATION 2:
280 BALL SIT UPS
A test of core and upper body strength, complete 280 sit ups in your pair. 5kg female, 6kg male
STATION 3:
280 KETTLEBELL SWINGS
Once you've done your 3rd run, it's straight into kettlebell swings. 14kg female, 16kg male
STATION 4:
100M SANDBAG LUNGE
Feel the burn in your quads and glutes as you and your partner tackle 100m of sandbag lunges. 10kg female, 20kg male*
STATION 5:
500 DOUBLE BATTLE ROPES
Double battle ropes requires upper body strength and cardio fitness. Choose carefully how you split the reps as good form must be maintained throughout
STATION 6:
200M FARMER'S CARRY
Engage your back, core and arms and test your grip strength with a 200m farmers carry. 15kg DB female, 17.5kg DB male
STATION 7:
2-10 DEVIL'S PRESS
The clue is in the name! A burpee with a nasty twist.YGIG 2-4-6-8-10 making it the only station where reps must be equally split. 8kg female, 12.5kg male each hand*
STATION 8:
5 MINUTE PLANK
After your final run, it's time to rest...in a plank. Split the time as you wish but one half of the partnership must be in a plank at all times
*Alternatives are available for 100m lunges and devil's press where injury may prevent participation.
Lunges will be replaced with a 400m overhead plate carry. Devil's press with bodyweight burpees. Please get in touch to discuss any concerns you may have with injury and other stations.

Prevention of Young Suicide
All proceeds from the event go directly to PAPYRUS UK for the prevention of young suicide. Entry is £30 per pair which must be paid directly to our JustGiving page.
We know just how important training is for mental health, and this event is a way to give you and a friend a goal to work towards with the gratification of completing it to the best of your ability. There are no podium places, no medals for first place, no timing chips... just a way to test yourself, get fit, have fun, and give back.
